The amount of portable devices is so huge that sometimes it seems like there is already nothing that can be made smaller. Yet creative designers think that even portable devices can become much smaller. What about you? Have you ever thought that a mouse can be even more portable?
An absolutely new mouse design has been recently offered. This gadget that is named Jelly Click takes mouse portability to the extreme. All the electronic circuitry lives on a small flexible board. The body itself is just soft plastic. When the concept is inflated it looks like a usual mouse. But you can easily let the air out and roll the gadget up. So, whenever you need your mouse, just inflate, attach the USB cable and enjoy the usage. It's quite an understandable fact that such a structure has some important advantages. First of all it would be almost impossible to do any damages to such a device because it's very light. Another advantage consists in the fact that due to the used material this mouse will be water resistant. So you can use it even in the extreme conditions.
To my mind this gadget represents a successful attempt of combining usefulness, portability, solidity and originality. However taking into consideration the fact that everybody is accustomed to using usual mouse it would probably be, at least at the beginning, strange to use this gadget.

My comment is that this new style of mouse will make it handy and easy to carry around since you can even place in to your pocket and inflate when you will use it. And of course, this will be water proof and not too prone to damage. But, an ordinary mouse is better to use because it's easier to move a mouse that is a hard plastic rather that an inflatable plastic mouse.

Sony Unveils New Blu-Ray Notebooks
Shortly after going public with the fact that the TZ series of notebooks has been shipped with some factory issues, Sony has introduced today two new notebook series that will benefit from the latest Blu-Ray Disc technology. The newly announced notebooks are part of the company’s NS and CS series, and have been designed to provide an impressive high-definition quality.
“With these new units, Sony is now offering consumers a host of multi-media PC options to choose from,” said Mike Abary, senior vice president of VAIO product marketing at Sony Electronics. “And with a starting price of around $1,000 for the NS model, we’re expecting a new audience to experience HD entertainment on their computers.”
The new NS notebook can be equipped with a Blu-Ray Disc-ROM drive, which comes as an option to the basic configuration. This model has been featured with a 15.4-inch widescreen display and uses Sony’s own XBRITE-ECO LCD technology to deliver a high-quality video experience. The NS notebook has been designed as a portable multimedia system, and is ideal for listening to music, watching movies and surfing the Internet.
Equipped with an Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 processor, it can support a maximum of 4GB of DDR2 memory. The notebook weighs approximately 6.4lbs with standard battery, and comes with a Microsoft Windows Vista Home OS. It will be available for prices ranging from $650 for the basic model, and $1,000 for the Blu-Ray-equipped versions.
The new Vaio CS notebook will be offered in several color options, including sangria, cosmopolitan, dove and black. The system is built as a 14.1-inch notebook and is equipped with the same XBRITE-ECO LCD technology as the NS model. It features a unique keyboard design and a LED light feature that becomes active when you play music, thanks to the 12-tone music analyzer.
Unlike the NS model, this notebook is based on Intel’s latest Centrino 2 technology, and comes with a starting price tag of about $920, while the BD model will start at approximately $1,070. Both new models will be available in stores and select retailers later this year.

My comment is those notebooks are great since it has the Blu-Ray Disc technology and having low costs. And, they have new great features.

I am still not sure if this is a wind up or not but apparently in Japan at least when you get tired, after a long day in front of the computer screen, you can ‘heal fatigue’ and ‘relax and comfort your body overall’ by warming up your eyes…
That, in a nutshell, is the thinking behind the USB Eye Warmer from the Rare Mono Shop, Just plug it in, strap it on and twiddle the heater control, according to your preferences. They’re available now, for just $28, so if you are suffering from chilly eye syndrome, and you have a spare USB port (you may have to unplug the fridge, fan, reading light and remote missile launcher), this is what you have been waiting for.
My comment is that this USB Eye Warmer is a good way for people to relax and since it has a low price, it's affordable. And, since you will plug it to the USB port, no need for you to plug it to the outlet and have separate electricity consumption.

Newest Form of Computer Input: Your Tongue
If you thought the battle for the newest computer input method was between gesture-based, keyboard, speech, etc -- you would be missing out on one of the more recent advancements in computer input which is being used by the disabled. And that would be your tongue. Using a magnet and sensors, disabled people can communicate well with a computer.I spent some time watching my tongue move in a mirror as I imagined the potentially infinite ways the tongue can move. It is quite possible that the tongue could become a more common method of input but then again, the idea of connecting a magnet to the tip of your tongue is probably not so appealing to the masses. I suppose swallowing these things could become a problem.

My comment is that tounge is very dangerous way of input since the magnet that will be use will be swallowed. I think, there are better ways or methods of input for disabled person rather than the tounge like the eyes. And, I don't want to be on the computer with my mouth open for how many hours. It's so difficult, tiring and absolutely funny.

Beer Powered USB Drive

Well, not exactly, and we’re not even sure the golden brown liquid in this rather eye-catching flash drive is actually beer, but we can tell you that it is available in capacities from 128Mb to 8Gb (sorry, no half pint or litre versions yet – now that would be useful…).
It is being produced by a company called CNK Promotions, and it’s the sort of thing that companies give away at exhibitions but CNK will happily pack their custom drives with the liquid of your choosing but be warned, the minimum order on this particular item (1Gb version) is 250 and at $20 a pop, not including the setup fee, you need to be pretty generous, or drunk, to give them away

My comment is the design is very catching to the eyes of the buyers. And it's actually like a real beer inside. It think it will be a real big hit since it is unique and eye-catching. But, hopefully the liquid stuff won't spill. Don't want to ground from a computer just because of that.

Cuil—the world’s biggest search engine.
The Internet has grown exponentially in the last fifteen years but search engines have not kept up—until now. Cuil searches more pages on the Web than anyone else—three times as many as Google and ten times as many as Microsoft.
Rather than rely on superficial popularity metrics, Cuil searches for and ranks pages based on their content and relevance. When we find a page with your keywords, we stay on that page and analyze the rest of its content, its concepts, their inter-relationships and the page’s coherency.
Then we offer you helpful choices and suggestions until you find the page you want and that you know is out there. We believe that analyzing the Web rather than our users is a more useful approach, so we don’t collect data about you and your habits, lest we are tempted to peek. With Cuil, your search history is always private.
Cuil is an old Irish word for knowledge. For knowledge, ask Cuil.

My Comment:
This is an unfamiliar search engine to me. I think, this search engine is great since the article's author said that it has wider coverage of searching capability and it has suggestions that makes the user easy to find what wants to search. And lastly, it is better because of the privacy of the search history. But, to see is to believe. I better try it and see if this search engine really is better than Google, Yahoo or Ask.com.
